This event was so much fun, we had a great time drawing away as bands played their hearts out. I’d do it again in an instant.
Photo Cred to the always wonderful Ian Bethune (check out his tumblr!) He’s going to Korea in like 5 weeks and he’ll be there for a full year. Gonna miss him very much, guess it’ll be up to Duncan and I to murder zombies.

Busy as a bee!
Today, Jonna Pedersen, Sarah Elminshawi, and I created this really cool paper structure for the our show on Wednesday. Our objective was to create an interesting object to deflect and change the light of the space so that it doesn’t interfere when we are doing our live drawing to live music.
The show is going to be this Wednesday night at the Norman Felix Gallery at 7pm. It’s part of Toronto’s music fest NXNE (North by North East). Many cool artists are coming together to create live music and live drawing, so if you’re in Toronto on Wednesday night come on down! Check it out on the Facebook event page.

What a weekend! This was one of the most awesome art projects I’ve ever participated in! The Gutterbird Collective in Toronto put on a great party last night in promotion of their latest issue of NEST Magazine. They set up a painting station with neon latex paint, and a bumping dance floor equipped with black lights!
I’m not much for dancing about, but I sure did have a blast giving people bionic arms all night!
I’ve got another show coming up on Wednesday at the Norman Felix Gallery in Toronto. I’ll be pairing up with many other visual artists to create cool visuals on old school overhead projectors while bands play live, if you’re in the neighborhood, come check it out!

I drew these fun little doodles over the long weekend in my little sketchbook.
